A carefully
restored house, it is tastefully furnished and decorated throughout. Ceilings are beamed
and the original thick walls ensure a cool atmosphere in summer and retain the
warmth in winter. The interior, especially the well-equipped kitchen, is homely and comfortable and retains its
rustic charm.
It is situated on the edge of the hamlet of Solano amongst the peace and quiet
of olive and almond groves. There are spectacular views of the surrounding mountains
and across the valley to the village of Comares perched high on its rocky peak.
Although in the countryside, this is a convenient location for trips to Granada,
Sevilla, Córdoba and beach resorts, as the Málaga inland motorway is only a short
drive away. In addition, many old farm and mule tracks may be explored on foot.
From the shaded terrace one enters a spacious kitchen / dining room, off which
a short passage leads to a living room complete with a small library. From the
dining area stairs lead up to two twin-bedded rooms, each with its own en-suite
facilities.
Outside, a pathway takes you to the south-facing pool
area, barbecue and terraces, where there are loungers to relax and take in the
sun and scenery. As the swimming pool is open year-round and the house has heating
for cooler days, this is an ideal holiday location at any time of year.
Whilst the owners live next door, they respect your privacy
