"La Posada Morisca" is a small rural hotel, very pleasantly situated
in the hills above the village of Frigiliana. It looks out across a broad sweep
of the coastal plain to Nerja and the Mediterranean Sea.
Its setting is very handy for getting to the beach resorts of the Costa Tropical
but far enough away to be able to escape the touristy hustle and bustle. And now
that the coastal motorway from Málaga extends all the way to Nerja, it's
a convenient resting place for travellers arriving at the airport who are venturing
further afield.
There are twelve rooms, each of them different, all neatly furnished and welcoming,
with warm, colourful materials, pretty handmade tiles and earthenware flooring.
Each has its own private entrance from outside and its own terrace as well, plus
a sitting area inside along with more standard facilities, en-suite bathrooms,
television and wood-burning stove.
There is a small restaurant serving evening meals and a little swimming
pool to the side of the hotel. Built in the style of a miniature pueblo
blanco, it's an attractive, relaxing place to stay. Just an hour from Málaga
Airport, it's two kilometres beyond popular Frigiliana and 15 minutes drive inland
from the Mediterranean coast.
