Just 15 minutes drive north
from Granada is the little village of Nivar on the boundary of the Natural Park
of Sierra Huetor. this little cottage is discretely situated a few minutes away from the village, with
wonderful views which extend across both the Vega of Granada, with the city in
its midst, and the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
A rustic country cottage, simply furnished and equipped, it's in a stunning location:
isolated, very quiet, surrounded by 2,000 m2 of evergreen oaks and fruit trees.
Very picturesque, with rockeries, a small swimming pool and those wonderful landscapes
all around. Just the sound of birdsong and the bells of the 18th Century church
in the village beyond to remind you, occasionally, that other people live on this
planet too.
There's a living room / kitchen
with an open fireplace, two bedrooms (one double, one single) and a small shower
room. It's simple, but adequate. Plus a large terrace, with shade, courtesy of an old
oak tree, a great place to relax and enjoy the tranquility and beauty all around.
At the same time, it's also ideal for anyone who wants to explore further
afield, whether it be the natural parks of Sierra Nevada or Sierra de Huetor,
the cavelands of Guadix or the magnificent city itself, Granada.
Please
note, however, that the 500 metre track from the village to the house is steep
and none too comfortable a ride!
