This
little cottage stands in in the valley of the Guadalfeo River,
a hundred metres from a small country lane and five hundred meters from the river
bed itself, a delightful place to explore. Other houses can be seen on the hillside
in the distance, but the cottage faces away from them and enjoys
relative privacy.
Although it lies in the middle of an extensive property,
the grounds of the cottage itself are very small, just enough to surround the
house and the swimming pool. Fencing along two sides gives privacy from the nearby
track.
The interior is surprisingly spacious. Three arches separate the living room from the kitchen and from the small hall which leads
to the bedroom and bathroom. Although recently built, beamed ceilings,
rustic furnishing, jars of dried flowers and a large fireplace give it a cosy,
homely atmosphere.
Along the whole front of the house a pleasant porch, full of pot plants, looks
out to the pool area, separated from it by a tiny area of
lawn.
A good place to eat al fresco, next to the barbecue, or to spend the hot hours
of the day in the shade, refreshed by the sight of water, while enjoying an unimpaired
view of the surrounding mountains.
