Self-contained, with it's own entrance, this is a studio-apartment
for two. Built and decorated with one eye firmly on the village's Moorish
heritage, it combines the best of tradition with the comfort and
amenities of the new.
The apartment
is on the ground floor, part of a small, stone-clad development at the top end
of the village, alongside the country road which winds up to Capileira, the last
village of the Poqueira Valley, and beyond towards Spain's highest mainland peak,
Mulhacen. Traffic does pass by so we cannot guarantee complete rural tranquility here.
On the other hand, it's a very advantageous location too, with shops, bars and
restaurants all close to hand.
Inside, it's spacious, attractively
decorated with well crafted woodwork and quality furnishings, comfortable,
and well equipped.
One enters directly to the open plan room which incorporates
everything except the bathroom. At one end there's a comfortable double bed with
living and dining space at the other end, the kitchen area off to the side. At
the far end, doors open to a big terrace with a fabulous view, over the
ancient roof tops of the village, across the splendid mountain scenery of the
Poqueira Ravine, to the Mediterranean Sea in the far distance.
Stairs lead down to the bathroom
which is on the basement floor below.
