This compact little town house, recently restored and modernised is situated on a quiet street in the upper part of the beautiful village of Gaucín.
Restaurants, tapas bars and shops are all within strolling distance.
From the roof terrace (thoughtfully
covered with a cane awning to provide shade in summer) you have lovely all-round
views of the village, the ruins of a 10th century Moorish castle, the valley of
the River Genal, down to the Mediterranean with Africa on the other side.
On the ground floor of the house is the living room with
a wood burning stove, the dining area and the kitchen. On the second floor there
is a small sitting area with comfortable chairs (where a child can sleep on a
sofabed) and the bedroom with a large double bed and en-suite bathroom.
Stairs
lead from here up to the roof terrace with its striking views.
Gaucín is not only beautiful, but also very well situated.
Nature lovers will find themselves surrounded by beautiful reserves like the Sierra
de Grazalema, Los Alcornocales and the Sierra de las Nieves, wonderful
walking areas with an abundance of wild life.
And if you are interested in history
and culture, the ancient cities of Granada, Sevilla, Córdoba or Cádiz can
be visited in a day trip.
Last but not least, the Mediterranean, with its lively
yachting marinas and golf courses, or the unspoilt beaches of the Atlantic on La Costa de la Luz are both within an hours drive.
