This sunny, two-bedroomed corner house in the classic
white village of Gaucín enjoys good views across some of Andalucìa's
most wonderful countryside. Because prices vary depending on the number in your
party, it is a good option either for a small family or for a couple on their
own.
It's a first and second floor apartment (there is a garage underneath but it doesn't
belong to the house), accessed by a short flight of stairs from the quiet street
below. One enters directly into the living room / dining room / open plan kitchen.
With windows on three sides, it's an attractive room, light and sunny.
Wooden beamed ceilings and terracotta floor tiles give it that unmistakable Andaluz
ambience. A wood burning stove and electric wall heaters make it suitable for winter holidays, too.
French windows open to two terraces, a smaller one which is covered, a good spot for eating out on long summer nights, and a larger open terrace which enjoys the view over the village roof tops to the hills and valleys all around.
The two bedrooms (one
double and one twin) and the bathroom are upstairs. The double room has windows on both sides.
Being in the village (albeit in a quiet corner), it's easy to stroll out
to one of the excellent restaurants here, perhaps to enjoy a tapa or two
before dinner. There's plenty to do close at hand quite apart from enjoying
the village and its wonderful views: whether you want to explore the wonderful nature of the Serranía de Ronda, discover the culture and traditions of Ronda, or enjoy the
beaches and golf courses of the Costa del Sol, there's something for everyone.
There is no swimming pool at the house but in midsummer the
municipal pool (and tennis courts) are among the most immaculately kept in southern
Spain.
