This traditional 100-year-old stone
cottage is privately situated within a glorious 12-acre estate that boasts forests
of cork oak, pine and chestnut as well as hilly meadows. The scenery is spectacular
with sea views to Gibraltar and Morocco from parts of the estate.
Set in a national
park this mountain retreat offers peace and tranquillity in surroundings of great
natural beauty. Yet it's only a short drive from here to the bustling coastal
resorts of Estepona and Marbella. The cottage offers the best of
both worlds.
It has been restored with original features such as seasoned chestnut
beams and the open hearth retained. Designed as a romantic retreat for couples
it boasts a king size double bed in the open plan living / sleeping suite. An
antique arched door leads to the bathroom, while a second archway leads to a little
kitchen.
The beautiful white village of Casares is just three kilometres away, with its
shops, restaurants, history and character. It's a lovely little town. Granada
and Seville can both be explored on a day trip and you can travel to Ronda, which
is closer, on a wonderfully scenic train journey, if you wish.
Casares
is ideally situated as the starting point for exploring the other picturesque
white villages of the Serrania de Ronda and its wonderful landscapes. Beaches
and golf courses are a 25-minute drive as are the supermarkets of Sabinillas.
