This well-designed, well-equipped holiday home is set apart on its own six acre private estate in this very pretty part of Andalucía.
All on one floor, it was completed in 2004, everything newly furnished and fitted-out. Under its wood beam-and-plaster ceiling, a beautifully spacious open-plan area extends from an attractively tiled and roomy kitchen area at one end to the dining space and comfortable sitting area, where large picture windows fill the room with natural light.
French windows lead out to a south-facing, wrap-around sun terrace and the swimming pool within private gardens.
It has a wood burning stove for the winter months, satellite TV and CD/DVD Player. The villa has a telephone and unlimited use of an Internet connection for your computer. It has excellent reception for mobile telephones.
It's an extremely comfortable and well equipped house with two bedrooms (one double-bedded, one triple-bedded, both with en-suite bathrooms), a lovely, spacious living room / kitchen area, a utility room and cloakroom.
The swimming pool (8 m x 4 m) is just outside with the terrace wrapping around it. There is about half an acre of fenced garden. Ancient olive trees provide a shaded play area for children. The brick-built barbecue is also under shade.
There is nothing but gorgeous rolling countryside as far as the eye can see and the views are tremendous: all the way to El Hacho mountain and to the Sierra de las Nieves beyond. It's a perfect base for anyone who enjoys the peace and quiet of real Andalusian countryside.
Surrounded by forests, hills and river valleys, there are excellent walking tracks, spectacular views and, during migration, masses of birds passing overhead. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty famous for its spring wild flowers and also offers excellent riding, golf and beaches, all within half an hours reach.
The spectacular and still authentic town of Ronda is an enjoyable hour's drive away, over the mountains and deep valleys of some spectacular countryside. The pretty 'pueblos' of Gaucín and Jimena de la Frontera, with their labyrinths of tiny cobbled streets and Moorish castles, are even closer.
San Pablo de Buceite lies in the Guadiaro valley 50 km north of Gibraltar and midway between the ancient Moorish “white villages” of Gaucin and Jimena de la Frontera, with their labyrinths of tiny cobbled streets and Moorish castles.
The spectacular and still authentic town of Ronda is an enjoyable hour's drive away, over the mountains and deep valleys of some spectacular countryside. Day trips can be made to Seville, Granada and Cordoba. The nearest beach is at Sotogrande (30 mins) and Tarifa, famous for its windsurfing and endless white sand beaches, is one hour away.
There are many golf courses at Sotogrande and horse riding and tennis are available near Jimena (10 mins). Gibraltar with its military history and duty free goods is 45 minutes and from there it is possible to join a boat and go dolphin and whale watching – very popular with all ages.
The English owners live a few hundred yards away where they run residential natural history holidays. They know the area well and are always pleased to help with local information.
