Situated within its own beautiful 16 hectare estate, this fabulous villa
combines the very best of traditional and modern comforts. Its
owner is an architect and designer who constructed it as a ‘no expenses spared'
home for his family using his own unique combination of European and Moorish styles.
The result is both sumptuous and spectacular.
Characterised by high-pitched ceilings, spacious rooms and top quality features, this is a luxurious
property. The icing on the cake is its fabulous location with nothing but glorious nature all around. Looking across a vast sweep of rolling green hills and forests of cork, carob and wild olive, there's not another house in view. It's both magnificent and truly inspirational.
The views are unsurpassed anywhere in Andalucía, encompassing the broad sweep of the valley of the Rio Guadiaro with the Ronda and Grazalema mountain ranges beyond. Delightfully rural and completely private, this is the perfect place for a truly relaxing holiday. Perfect because, although it's beautifully secluded and joyously peaceful, it isn't remote: it has an all-weather access road and is an easy ten minute drive from the charming village of Gaucín, one of the prettiest in all Spain.

A perfect all-year-round holiday destination, the house is fitted with both
central heating for those cold crisp winter nights and air conditioning for
hotter summer days. When it comes down to the little details of daily life, everything works splendidly! Little details like instant hot water throughout the house, power pumps which maintain perfect pressure no matter how many people are showering at the same time, a filtration system for the drinking water (so, there's no need to purchase bottled water). A huge water deposit ensures that, no matter how little it rains in Spain, there will always be plenty on tap here.
And then there's the magnificent swimming pool! A spectacular 20 metres long, it is heated to a perfect
26ºC throughout the winter when it is covered by a retractable greenhouse-style
roof. In July and August the pool is left completely uncovered and during mid-season
it is partially covered.
Inside, the main focus of the house is the capacious central living space. Light
pours in through tall windows, revealing original works of art, a grand piano and
comfortable sofas surrounding the huge fireplace. It's a perfect construction
which has been cleverly divided into varying environments for games, reading and
dining.
This is the heart of the house. From here one passes through french doors out
to the terrace and pool area or, through arched doorways, to the five en-suite
bedrooms (three doubles and two twin bedded). Extremely well equipped and appointed, the
kitchen opens to a barbecue and outdoor dining area for those long, balmy summer
evenings. There are also several other lovely
terraces and outdoor areas for reading and relaxing.
The immediate environment includes the charming and unspoilt
village of Gaucín with its excellent selection of restaurants, tapas bars,
tennis courts and, of course, all the customary local traditions of an Andalusian
'pueblo' in the form of many ‘ferias and fiestas'.
There are several excellent day-trip destinations, none of which should be missed:
to the historic towns of Ronda, Jerez de la Frontera and Cádiz, each of
them offering good shopping and fine restaurants as well as lots of history and
architecture of great beauty. Each has its own unique atmosphere.
For those who
want a day on the beach, Mediterranean resorts are just 30 minutes drive to the
south while the white Atlantic beaches of the Costa del la Luz are ninety minutes
away.
Whichever direction you head off to, one thing is for sure: you
will be returning to one of the most comfortable and relaxing properties in Spain.
One that has absolutely everything.
