These two adjoining semi-detached cottages have been renovated throughout to a good standard. They can be rented separately or, for a larger party, together.
They are very well located, in the pretty village of Nigüelas at the foot of the Sierra Nevada, in a quiet little street on the very edge of the village. They look out over the beautiful countryside of the river valley and farmlands which stretch out below, the high mountains rising up spectacularly beyond.
They have been designed and furnished with taste and imagination. Terracotta floor tiles and wooden beams lend a rustic feel, as do the wooden blinds and old-style furniture. Pretty fabrics add colourful touches.
Each cottage has its own entrance; on the ground floor a shaded porch area leads from the gardens to a spacious, relaxing living room, a well-fitted, pretty kitchen and a shower room/W.C.
Upstairs there are two attractive bedrooms (one double, one twin) and bathrooms. Each of the bedrooms has a wooden-railed balcony, overlooking the fabulous countryside beyond.
The swimming pool (8m x 4m) is shared between the two houses. Access to the houses by car is possible to drop off luggage etc. but there is no parking in the immediate surrounds. However, it's usually possible to park within a couple of minutes from the properties.
Nigüelas is a lovely little village, big enough to have a bit of life, but still a proper little Andalusian pueblo where time marches only slowly by.
Situated at the very foot of mainland Spain's highest peaks and just a kilometre away from the motorway which runs north to Granada and south to the Costa Tropical, it's a great base for exploring much of the very best which Spain has to offer. An ideal holiday location.
