Property Description

For families looking for both quality and comfort, this beautifully restored farmhouse could be the perfect choice. Standing in its own 10,000 m2 estate on the edge of the little hamlet of Los Nogales, this is a traditional farming area that still retains all its old-world feel.

the pool and the view

The surroundings are pretty and unspoilt, with cultivated fields and pasture lands, goats grazing contentedly here and there against a backdrop of distant mountains.

Intimate and, for all practical purposes, unseen (there is just one other house in view, and that is in the far distance), the farmhouse has a wonderful rural location.

And when inside, it just gets better and better. The whole house is bordered by a gorgeous terrace which wraps around the property, where you can relax on the comfortable rattan sofas and drink in those views. Teak wood garden furniture and loungers blend with the natural country flora all around.

Just one of many clever features here, each room in the property has double doors which open directly to the terrace. An attractive barbecue area enjoys the shade of a cane awning, and the garden at the front of the house is equally attractive, part lawned and part paved with local stones. Steps lead down to the gated and fenced swimming pool.

These include central heating throughout and high quality furnishings.

Attractive white sofas are spaced around the feature fireplace (with its glass-fronted wood burning stove) in the main living room. A second salon has been designed specifically for summer living. The elegant dining hall with its high beamed ceiling leads to an open-plan farmhouse kitchen, fitted to the standards one would expect in a special country home.

There are three bedrooms, each with French windows leading out to various areas of the garden, all with en-suite bathrooms featuring handmade tiles and hand painted basins. The bedrooms have overhead ceiling fans.

A mix of wood, iron and antique furnishings, local ceramics and fabrics of the highest quality compliment these lovely rooms perfectly.

The delightful old town of Antequera is just sixteen kilometres away. The entire Andalusian motorway network links here, just outside the town, making day trips to Seville, Ronda, Córdoba and Granada all possible.

the villa from distance

Locally there are the attractions of the lakes and gorges of El Choro, the Fuente de Piedra lake (home to more than 5,000 pink flamingos), the Roman Spa baths of Carratraca, where you spend a day taking the waters, and Málaga too, often overlooked but which has a delightful "old town".
