Located only a short drive from the village of Colmenar, the property is 200 metres down a private drive, in the grounds of an old Andalusian farmhouse, but quite separate in its own independent space. The main farmhouse is 60 metres further down the lane and is barely visible from the cottage. A wicker fence around the cottage garden hides it from view.
Designed and built with holidays in mind, this is a simple but neat, clean and comfortable holiday cottage.
Best of all, perhaps, is its location. Situated among hillsides of olive and almond groves, overlooking a valley dotted with white villages, the views extend across to the Tejeda mountain range and to the Sierra Nevada beyond, as well as to the coast of the Mediterranean. It is a spectacular scene, whatever the time of year.
Although there are two other holiday homes accessed from this track, the sense of privacy is still great. It is a delightful spot to sit and relax, contemplating the fantastic views which spread out all around. A haven of peace and tranquility, it is an ideal place to rest and soak up the sun!

Parking is alongside the cottage. Inside, the open-plan living / dining / kitchen area is both functional and a pleasant and welcoming space. A twin bedroom with big windows and a double with french doors leading out to the pool terrace at the rear, and a bathroom complete the distribution.
Outdoor facilities include sun loungers, a barbecue and a shaded seating area for dining "al-fresco", complimenting the pretty, egg-shaped little pool (approx. 7 m long x 3 or 4 m wide). With sublime nature all around, it is a very welcoming spot.
Colmenar has a good selection of tapas bars, restaurants, supermarkets, bank, chemist, internet shop and holds a bustling weekly market.
Málaga (and its airport) is just three quarters of an hour away and many other coastal resorts with their marinas, restaurants and exclusive golf clubs are within easy reach.
The cottage is also ideally situated to explore many of Andalucia's great historic and cultural centres, including Ronda, Granada and Córdoba. Locally, outdoor activities include birdwatching (especially in spring), cycling, horseriding and walking in the beautiful Montes de Málaga pine forests and in the Torcal National Park.
