The villa is located in the mountains above the beautiful Spanish mountain village of Casares, just over an hour south of Malaga. Just before you enter the village of Casares, a winding road takes you up the mountain where you arrive at a large white house with a fantastic view over the green valley and the sea in the horizon.
On a clear day you can see the mighty Atlas Mountains all the way to Africa. The house has two floors and is surrounded by a large terracotta terrace with a pool.
Clever use of light and space, and wood-beamed ceilings are just some of the attractive features.
Through the majestic entrance hall, with a ceiling height of 5 meters, you enter the large bright living room with a fireplace. In the large comfortable lounge sofa, you can enjoy a movie on the large flat screen TV after a day at the beach. There are three large glas doors that lead out onto the terrace and the pool area where there are sunbeds, a lounge area and an outdoor shower.
Through the living room you enter the kitchen, which has a large kitchen island, double fridge and a large solid wooden table. In the kitchen you have access to all amenities such as a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, kettle and everything else you could possibly need. Directly connected to the kitchen, you come out to the dining area with a wooden roof as protection from the hot sun and a barbecue where you can enjoy a lovely meal.
TV and air conditioning throughout compliment quality furnishings, rugs, books and pictures.
Next to the stairs leading up to the upper floor is a toilet with a shower. Upstairs there are four spacious bedrooms. The largest room consists of a single suite with toilet and bathtub. In the room you also have a sofa group with a fireplace and of course a large comfortable double bed, 180x200cm. The room has a large glass door that leads out to a balcony with a wonderful view of the pool areas and the valley.
In the far room there is also a large lovely double bed, 180x200cm, with a desk for those who need it. Next to this room is another bathroom with bathtub, toilet, washing machine and dryer. In the third middle room there is a lovely double bed, 150x200cm. Right by the stairs is the fourth bed room with a workspace with a screen where you can connect your laptop. A sofa bed with a soft mattress to make it extra comfortable, 140x190cm.
Wherever you are in the house, picture windows open to the beautiful scenery all around.
From the house you can go straight out and the many hiking trails and enjoy the fantastic nature the area has to offer. The village of Casares is only one kilometer away and there you will find restaurants and the local grocery stores. It is only a 15 minute drive to the many lovely sandy beaches and an endless supply of restaurants for all tastes.
Estepona and Gibraltar are 25 minutes away with both shopping and other activities. There are also many fine golf courses in the area and for those who want to enjoy the lovely landscape, furthermore you can enjoy a horse ride in the scenic Casares.

Deep in the picturesque sweep of the valley, the location is superb too, lying between the Mediterranean Sea and the pretty white village of Casares, both of them just ten minutes drive away.

Nearby Casares, Gaucín, Jimena de la Frontera, Genalguacil and, further to the north, delightful old Ronda and the mountain village of Grazalema are all attractive, lovely places, well worth visiting.
The beaches of the western reaches of the Costa del Sol, the nearest to the villa, are much less “touristy” and less congested than those further east. It is still possible to find swathes of empty golden sand here. Estepona is the nearest of the resort towns on the coast, a little more than fifteen minutes away. Marbella, with all its glitz and glamour, and Gibraltar, take 50 minutes.
There are lots of lovely walks in the area and there are horse riding stables nearby too. For golf enthusiasts, there are at least 25 top quality golf courses (including Valderrama, Sotogrande, and San Roque) within 30 minutes drive. Highly recommended is “Finca Cortesin”, host to the Volvo Masters Matchplay Championships, less than 20 minutes away from the villa.
Locally, three roadside ventas are within 15 minutes drive from the villa, offering good, simple home cooking. “Arroyo Hondo”, on the way to Casares, is highly recommended.
The great historic cities of Andalucía, Sevilla, Granada and Córdoba are between two and three hours drive.
Whatever your preference, here you are ideally situated between the sea and the sierras, the perfect place to enjoy the very best of Andalucía.

Weather permitting, the swimming pool will be open throughout the year (although, because it’s not heated, the normal swimming season is from late April to September, inclusive)
A weekly change of linen and towels is included for rentals of more than one week
